Rathowen Somersette (Imp Aust.)
By Courtland Boy Blue (UK) out of Radway Royal Sonnet (UK) by Sandbourne Royal Ensign.
Courtland Boy Blue has sired some of the top ridden ponies in Australia, most under the Rathowen prefix and too numerous to mention, among others LJS Heavens Above is sired by him, a well known Supreme Champion Pony.
Somersette has been a Champion in hand pony in Australia and a Royal Champion in New Zealand. She was put in foal to Chippenham Warrant before coming to NZ. Somersette produced a stunning black filly foal P.High Court on 12/9/2002. In 2003 she produced a chestnut filly P. Camelot, 2004 a bay filly P. Avalon, 2005 a black filly P.Morgan le Faye (pictured right), and in 2006 a chestnut colt P Lancelot all by Radway Talk of the Town. In 2008 she had a lovely chestnut colt by Langtree Just So (Imp Aust), P.Soho.

Kolbeach Fortune (Imp Aust.)

Our newest import from Australia Kolbeach Fortune (Imp) has done very well in her first year of showing (see news & for sale page). Her sire, Fernleigh Fine Print, has shown himself to be a sire of great quality both in the led ring and now his stock are coming out very successfully under saddle.
Fortune's full sister, Kolbeach Class, was the top selling filly at the Kolbeach/Kirreway sale in Tatura 2005 and is now owned by Mrs Warburton of Victoria. She started her showing career winning Champion Riding Pony Filly @ Melbourne Summer Royal 2006 and was the Champion Led Mare or Filly @ Barastoc 2007.
Fortune is a valuable addition to our breeding stock.

Phoenician High Court (Imp iiu)

Chippenham Warrant is owned by Lisa Cleary and was a multi Supreme Winner in hand for her before being gelded and since has gone on to also be a Supreme winner under saddle.
Our stud was very fortunate and grateful to be one of the few able to use this lovely pony before he was gelded. High Court was shown three times as a 2 year old for 2 Champions, a Supreme and 5th place In Hand HOY. She was also placed first in the NZPB Youngstock Performance Competition NI 2005. She is Waikato Royal 2005 Supreme Champion Led Pony.
